Anna Valenti

Anna Valenti, 96, passed away October 2, 2013 at her home in Las Vegas, NV.
A service will be held at Davis Funeral Home, located at 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. on Saturday, Oct 5, from 3 to 4 PM.
Anna was born June 9, 1917, in Brooklyn, New York to Giuseppe and Francesca Lamanno. She married Jack Valenti on Dec 2, 1945 in New York. She had three boys, Michael, Richard and Gary. The family moved to California in 1963, which is where they stayed until retirement when they moved to Las Vegas in 1984.
Anna was a seamstress all her life, starting at age 14 in New York. In 1952 they opened a Dry Cleaner in Brooklyn where she did the alterations. After moving to Southern California they opened another dry cleaning establishment.
After retirement, Anna continued to do sewing for friends and she taught herself to make quilts. She made numerous beautiful quilts which she gave to family and friends.
Anna is survived by her sons, Richard and Gary and her daughterinlaws Mary and Mimi. She has 4 grand children and five great grand children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack and her son Michael.
