Barbara James
As far as one could remember Barbara James was always trying to figure out life and learn the right direction to go as a single mother.
Prior to the birth of the twins, Barbara invested many hours throughout the day teaching all she knew about life. Her children saw that she was determined to teach the necessary tools for basic survival in this world.
Her children appreciate that every moment that she was able, her determination was to create loving memories despite being exhausted from working the third shift at her place of employment.
We can say for a certainty that Barbara’s way of parenting drew her children ever closer to her and they trusted her implicitly.
We appreciate that Barbara was fully present in all adult situations and that she seemed to perfect parenting by demonstrating love.
We saw her love in action by the way she viewed her family:
And how she loved her father Clarence James.
And how she honored and respected the Matriarch and nucleus of the family, her mother Creasie James.
She is preceded in death by Mildred and Dianne.
Barbara loved all her siblings-Rogers (Ann), Clarence, Doris, Patricia, and Dennis immensely, and she loved all her children.
Barbara instilled that love for people in her three children: Ron, Alexis, and Airika.
Everyone’s lives changed with a knock on the door. Her prayers to God had been answered: it was Jehovah’s Witness at the door.
After several visits from Jehovah’s Witnesses there was a change in Barbara’s demeanor. It was a new-found peace and joy. It was like there was no need to have the need to run any longer, despite many hardships and challenges.
She infused love for the bible into her children. She regularly made arrangements for her children to study and learn the truth of God’s word.
Though she didn’t make her dedication to God Jehovah for some 25 years later, Barbara loved Jehovah God and his promises for all mankind. Barbara James was baptized on July 27, 2002.
In latter part of Barbara’s life, she loved to spend her time with her grandchildren which she loved dearly. Do to her illness, Barbara’s darkest time came when she could no longer speak.
However, it was amazing to see her spirit ignited when she heard God’s message. And although it was difficult to understand her vocals, she could always discern one word: Jehovah.
Revelation Chapter 21: Versus 1-4 (New World Translation)
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth;+ for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away,+ and the sea+ is no more. 2 I also saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God+ and prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.+ 3 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them.+ 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes,+ and death will be no more,+ neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.+ The former things have passed away.”
