Billy Crank Sr., 79, of Las Vegas, passed away May 26, 2014. He was born Jan. 5, 1935, in Garland, Ark., and was a 45year resident of Nevada. He served in the U.S. Army, and was a retired operating engineer and miner. He was born to parents, Elmer Crank and Vera Winkle. He was a veteran, a member of Operating Engineers and a Free Mason. He worked for many years in the oil fields and at the Nevada Test Site. He was an avid prospector and miner. People came from around the world to hear his lectures and to visit him on Crescent Peak. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna and brother, Alex S. Crank. He is survived by his children, Randall Bubba Crank, Marquetta San Roman and Billy B. Crank Jr. and beloved grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd.
