In Loving Memory of a Remarkable Woman
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Blanca Hechavarria, who left this world on June 30. She was a beacon of light and love in our lives, a true embodiment of grace, strength, and compassion. Blanquita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and great friend to many.
Blanquita was a nurturing soul whose kindness knew no bounds. Her warm smile and gentle touch brought comfort to all who knew her. She dedicated her life to caring for her family, always putting our needs before her own. Her unwavering love and selflessness were a source of inspiration to us all.
Born on April 27, 1934, in Piura, Peru, Blanca was the daughter of Alejandrina Huaman Gonzales and Federico Alfonso Mendoza Flores.
Blanquita meet Jose (Pepin) in Boston, married on May 2, 1969 in Las Vegas, and remarried again on November 28, 1988.
Beyond her role as a mother, Blanquita was a loyal friend, a compassionate listener, and a pillar of support to those in need. Her wisdom, humor, and generosity touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
As we mourn the loss of Blanquita, we take solace in the memories we shared, the lessons she imparted, and the love that will forever remain in our hearts. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will live on through the countless lives she touched.
Blanquita is survived by her son Glen Hechavarria (Darla), daughter Sandra (Leon) Chavez, grandsons Leon (Ashley) Chavez, Aiden Hechavarria, granddaughters Corinne Hechavarria, Ashtin Hechavarria, Hannah Hechavarria and Marissa (John) Santacruz and 2 great grandsons, Leon Levi Chavez and Theodore Santacruz
In honoring her memory, let us carry forward her legacy of love, kindness, and empathy. May we strive to be the light in someone's darkness, the warmth in someone's cold, just as she was to us.
Rest in peace, Mamí. You will be deeply missed, but your love will live on in us forever.
At the families request, we ask that you please refrain from wearing dark colors or black for those who wish to attend services. We hope the colors of your choosing reflect the colors of Fresh Spring flowers that she loved dearly.
