Bruno Guido Chef 1, Frisan, 70, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully Monday, May 2, 2011, after an extended illness.
He was born March 31, 1941, in Antwerp, Belgium, and was a 35year resident of Nevada. Bruno came to America from Belgium with his family in 1962. He proudly became a U.S. citizen in 1977. Bruno was a respected head chef at the Dunes Hotel, then the MGM and finally, Caesars Palace. He retired in 2004.
He married his beloved wife, Jeannette in 1974, and they were happily married until her death in 2003. They are, no doubt, rejoicing now that they are reunited. His children and grandchildren were a tremendous joy in his life.
Our sweet Papa will be greatly missed. Bruno and his identical twin brother, Giovanni, were pranksters that loved to tease people by trying to make them guess who was who. Papa lived his life to the fullest, never wasting a moment. He was full of energy, laughter and love for everyone that knew him. Rest in peace, sweet Papa, until we are once again encircled in your loving arms.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannette his sister, Jolanda Casara and his parents, Giovanni and Berta Frisan.
Bruno is survived by his children, Jon Laura Frisan of Anaheim, Calif., and Julie Cody Larsen of Palmdale, Calif. his much adored grandchildren, Ashly, Emily, Nataly, Andrew, Cody Joe, Zachary, Tia, Krista, Hailey and Joshua his twin brother, Giovanni brothers, Renato, Mario, Roberto and Aldo and his sister, Carla.
