Charles Ray Lyons
July 24, 1945 - February 26, 2017

Charles (Chuck) Lyons passed away suddenly at Summerlin Hospital, Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born and resided in Long Beach California until he retired to Las Vegas with his high school sweetheart and wife Phyllis.

The Long Beach native attended Long Beach Poly Technical High School prior to serving 3 years in the United States Army. Soon after his twins where born he began working for the Long Beach Water Department, retiring as a supervisor after 35 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Phyllis Lyons; 4 children; Sherrie Cargal and husband Brian; Billie Lyons and wife Kelly; Yvonne Giannetakis and husband Trent; Charles (Jay) Lyons and wife Norma; 11 grandchildren; Patricia Cargal, Crystal Cargal, Jesse Lyons and wife Samantha, Brian Cargal Jr., Jake Lyons, Alexandria Giannetakis, Taylor Lyons, Hannah Lyons, Brookelyn Giannetakis, Hallie Lyons and Michael Giannetakis 2 great granddaughters Jaydelyn and Ruby Stricker; 3 siblings; Warren Layne, Sandra Wilson and Candice Mosely; many nieces, nephews and a multitude of cherished friends.

A significant and admirable figure to all under his influence; full of kindness and generosity, his home always had an open door. His endearing humor will forever provoke a smile while his faithfulness to God will be an enduring legacy to his family. He is cherished, loved and will be genuinely missed.

Services for Chuck will be held on Saturday March 11, 2017 at 2:00PM at Davis Funeral Home Rainbow Chapel, 1401 S. Rainbow Blvd, Las Vegas NV 89146.
