Connie Ann Adcox of Beatty passed away on October 27, 2015 following a long battle with MDS.
She was born in McMinnville, Oregon to Mable (Danielson) Current and Paul Danielson.
Connie Adcox will be remembered with joy and love by the many hundreds of students and faculty of Beatty Schools, where she taught various subjects and grade levels for the past 23 years. She was a successful track coach, winning Nevada Coach of the Year honors.
In her earlier years, she had been a dental assistant and receptionist in Portland, Oregon and Salt Lake City, Utah. She was also a successful model of her line of womenswear.
Connie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Management Cum Laude in 2010. She loved teaching and she loved the joy her students gave to her. The lives she touched will forever be the better for having known her.
A strong, loving Christian, she displayed the love and joy of her faith. Well done, good and faithful servant!
Her favorite verse was Romans 8:28: "We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."
Connie was preceded in death by her father in 1975. She is survived by her husband of 35 years Jerry Adcox of Beatty, her mother, Mable Current, her sister, Donna Pearson, wife of Rodger Pearson, four sons, Air Force Senior Master Sergeant Gregory Wasson II, Army Captain Paul Adcox, Luke Adcox, Kyle Adcox and daughter Erin (Adcox) Bailey, and ten grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Beatty Community Center, 100 A. Avenue South, Beatty, Nevada at 3:00 pm on Thursday, November 5, 2015. Interment will follow at Desert Hills Cemetery in Beatty.
