Cory Winters

Cory Lee Winters, 78, joined our Most Merciful God in eternal life on Sunday, September 17, 2017.
Cory was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 13, 1939, to Harold Winters and Deloris (Detzel) Winters.
Being born across the street from Wrigley Field, it was his lifelong goal to see the Chicago Cubs win the
World Series, which he witnessed in the fall of 2016!!

Cory married his high school sweetheart, Sheila F. Dooley, and together they were wonderful parents to
three children, Lory Lee (Winters) Vizza, Cory Joseph Winters, and Monica Elizabeth (Winters) Agate.
He was preceded in death by his older brother, Myron Winters, and his parents. Cory is survived by
his sister Doreen (Winters) Johnson, and his brother, Michael Winters, He is also survived by his three
children, twelve grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Cory was an amazing man. A devoted son, a supportive brother, a wonderful and devoted father, and a
caring husband. He lived his life to the best of his ability, and in his final years, devoted the minutes of
every day to his loving and merciful God. He will be so missed; however, we are comforted in knowing
that he is with his Loving Father in Heaven. We will all be together with him again some day.

Thank you Father God, for allowing us to be a part of dad's wonderful life.

Dad's special prayer to the Divine Mercy of God:
Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion - inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we may not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen.

Please help me to have total dedication to my Father God, to my Jesus, and to my Holy Spirit - yes, to my Blessed Trinity. I pray to become the true child of God that I was meant to be when I was born!
