Daniel Packer

Daniel Leon Packer, 77, of Las Vegas, Nevada, surrounded by family, peacefully passed on June 9, 2021.  He was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona to Melvin Leon and Bonnie Mae Packer on January 20, 1944.  Dan grew up attending the Cashion Southern Baptist Church, his parents being among the founding members.  He graduated with honors from Tolleson Union High School and continued on to complete a three-year masonry apprenticeship at the top of his class.  This paved the way for his love of concrete and masonry.  As he worked in different states he continued to master his craft.  He eventually moved to Las Vegas and was fortunate enough to work in the concrete industry with his mentors, Uncle Buck, Uncle Pete and his father, Leon.  He eventually became principal owner and operator of Pete White Concrete dba White Eagle Concrete and built the business for over 30 years.  His company poured so much concrete that you might say he literally contributed in building this city.  He loved his work and treated his employees like family; he gave them all he could.

He married Cynthia Packer on November 26, 1994, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Those celebrating his life are his loving wife, Cynthia Packer; his children, Kimberly A Packer, Missy Packer, Daniel M Packer, Summer D Garcia, and Morgan N Packer; his sister, Sarah D Packer; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Stephan D Packer, M Branden L Packer, Christian L Packer and Taylor J Packer.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday July 9, 2021 at Davis Funeral Home – Rainbow Chapel located at 1401 S. Rainbow Blvd., LV NV 89146 with Father Dave Casaleggio, officiating.

The Packer family extends our sincere thanks to the many friends who grew to be family over the years.  He valued his family and friends and held each and everyone dear to his heart.
