Mrs. Deborah Ann (Arbutina) Lewis, born on January 19, 1956 in Biloxi, Mississippi, died peacefully at age 62 on June 29, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada after a long battle with Breast Cancer. Debbie was raised in many countries and states thru the years until her parents arrived in Las Vegas. She married the love of her life, Michael Lewis on June 18, 1983 in Las Vegas Nevada. They traveled the world over their 35 years to many destinations while Michael was serving in the USAF and after retirement they settled down in Las Vegas Nevada. Debbie graduated in 1993 with her bachelor degree in Education from UNLV and began her teaching career that same year with the Clark County School District. She loved being a teacher and worked at many different schools in Las Vegas and Henderson. Debbie, a beloved daughter, sister, wife and aunt is survived by her parents Lowell M. Arbutina and Joann M. Arbutina, sisters Mary Arbutina and Michelle Hinkle, niece Laura Arbutina and her husband of 35 years Michael R. Lewis. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Deborah's name to The Caring Place (thru Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation at nvccf.org). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 26 from 11:20 to 12:00 p.m. at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr, Boulder City, Nevada, 89005. The family will have a gathering immediately following the service at their home.
