Dianne Donley

Dianne Parker Donley passed away on May 31, 2017 at the age of 68. She was born on February 7, 1949 in Ogden Utah. She was the second daughter of Sherman & Beth Shaw Parker. She lived her early life in Pleasant View, Utah and attended Weber High School and Weber College. She moved on to Brigham Young University where she graduated with her teaching degree. She taught school in Texas, Missouri and Las Vegas Nevada where she retired from teaching in 2013.

She married Jerry R. Phillips in 1975 and together they had a daughter Stacey who was born in 1977. They were divorced, and she met and married Dan Donley in Las Vegas, NV, and they combined their families into one.

Dianne had a killer sense of humor and would often catch us off guard with her funny comments which she delivered with a straight face. She was a giggler and loved to laugh. She was a great cook, and excelled in cookies. There aren't many cookies that she hasn't tried and loved. She loved her new home and had such fun putting all those treasures she had accumulated over the years out on display now that she had room for them, and she had more clothes and jewelry than a small store.

She loved her Dan and her daughter Stacey with all her heart, and was over the moon with happiness when she was blessed with her two granddaughters, Sophia and Vivian. She loved the old family cabin, spending time with family and friends and just LOVED life. She was always ready for an adventure, especially one that involved Dan, San Diego and the Hotel Del Coronado.

She is survived by her loving husband Dan, her daughter Stacey (Dave) Holland and her two granddaughters, Sophia and Vivian, her two stepsons Jason and Jerad Donley, and their children Jaiden & Caitlin, her sister Shirley (DeWayne) Jackson, and 2 nieces and 2 nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and father. Burial will be in the St. George City Cemetery, St George, Utah.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at the El Camino Ward at 2245 Lindell Road, Las Vegas, Nevada 89146-3303.
