Donald Rideout

Donald James Rideout passed away peacefully on December 6, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada under the loving care of Mountain View Hospice personnel, after a brief illness. The son of Lloyd Leeman and Lucy Myshrall Rideout of Millinock et, Main. He was born on October 30, 1945 in Yarmouth, Main. the 13th born of 15 children.
Don graduated from Stearns High School in 1965. This was the height of the Vietnam war and he joined the United States Army to serve his Country. His tours included Germany, Okinawa, Alaska and 2 years in Vietnam.
He met and married his wife Sumi while stationed in Okina WA. He retired as Sergeant after 20 years on active duty. They moved to Las Vegas where he was employed at Valley Hospital for many years.
Don was a generous and loving man who would, and did give his last dollar to a stranger., He was pre-deceased by his wife Sumi in 2010, his mother, father, and brothers: Bill, Dick & Jackie, sisters; Joyce, Gail, Patti, Carolyn & Barbara.
He is Survived and loved by his brothers: Ken & Butch, Sisters: Mim, Jane, Edy & Mitzi. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousin. Also, his best friend, Sato Stephenson of Las Vegas.

Davis Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Graveside services will be held at a later date at Southern Nevada Veterans Cemetery.
