Dorothy Millegan

d. March 29, 2024

Our beloved Dorothy gained her wings Wednesday, March 20th. Dorothy Pittman Millegan, born on October 22, 1958, in Farmingdale, New York, was a shining light in the lives of all who knew her. She was the beloved firstborn child of Edward and Patricia Kirby and a cherished older sister to her siblings Colleen, Edward, and Kerri. In 1972, the Kirby family relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, where they planted their roots.

Dorothy graduated from Valley High School in 1976 and married Richard Pittman in 1978. They lived in various places and worked various jobs before settling down in Las Vegas. In 1995 Dorothy took on the greatest title of her life, becoming the mother to Ricky, her pride and joy.

Dorothy became a world-class bartender, dedicating many years of service to worldwide known establishments such as the Golden Nugget, Treasure Island, and the famous Bellagio Casino. "Dorothy's Bar" was where she worked since its opening in 1998 and for 24 years Dorothy served her loyal clients with unwavering dedication and passion.

Dorothy and Roy have been soulmates since the day they first met in 2004, they made their union official in June 2023 where they were married in a beautiful ceremony at the Little Chapel of the West.

Known for her generosity and warmth, Dorothy was a trusted friend and confidant. Her infectious laughter and genuine care touched the lives of countless people. But above all, Dorothy's heart belonged to her family. She was the guiding force, the one who paved the way for her loved ones, leaving a permanent mark on their hearts.

Dorothy leaves behind her beloved husband and life partner, Roy Millegan, and the light of her life, her son, Ricky Pittman and daughter-in-law Michael Lin Foster. She is also survived by her living siblings Edward and Kerri, nieces Alexis, Megan, Brooklyn, Mikala, and nephews Dylan and Timothy. Dorothy now joins her parents Edward and Patricia Kirby, and her sister Colleen Gray.

Dorothy epitomized generosity in every sense of the word-she freely gave her time, advice, possessions, but most importantly, her love. Her zest for life was infectious, and her radiant smile could brighten even the darkest of days. Knowing Dorothy was like basking in the warmth of the sun.

Though she is deeply missed, Dorothy's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her soul rest in peace for eternity. Until we meet again, we will forever hold dear the memory of our sweet, lovable, and beautiful Dorothy Pittman Millegan.

Services will be held at, Davis Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6200 S Eastern Avenue, in the Chapel of Love on Wednesday April 17th from 2-3pm, with interment of ashes to follow where she will be placed to rest along with her beloved sister Colleen Gray.
