Douglas Maha

August 24, 1928 — July 21, 2012

Douglas A. Doug Maha, 83, a Las Vegas resident of 18 years, passed away from complications due to Alzheimers disease July 21, 2012. He is survived by his wife, of 63 years, and the love of his life, Jacquelin daughters, Debbie Maha Bozek Rich, Alison Maha, Carrie Maha and Felicia Maha Stiles Dan six grandchildren and one great grandson. A native northern Californian, Doug enjoyed a successful career spanning 30 years with S.C. Johnson and Son as a regional sales manager. His outgoing personality and remarkable drive lent itself to numerous volunteer community affairs positions and fund raising projects in California, Montana, and Nevada. His volunteer activities included Citizens on Better Education, Yolo County Family Services president, DHS PTA president, Military Affairs Committee, chairman of annual Celebrity Golf Tournament for Montana Special Olympics, president Toast Masters International Great Falls, Mont. and coordinator with his wife for Weight Lifting and Fitness of Nevada Senior Olympics Las Vegas. Doug and Jacquelin were highlighted in the Las Vegas Athletic Clubs Lifestyle Magazine Summer 1999 as a medal winning power couple. Funeral celebrating Dougs life will be at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, July 29, at Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas, 702 3832900.
