Edward Kurcz

Edward Joseph Kurcz, 84, of Las Vegas, passed away Sept. 18, 2011. He was born July 6, 1927, in Omaha, Neb., and was a 48year resident of Nevada. Edward retired from the U.S. Air Force and served during World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was also a member of the Stagehands Union and Teamsters. Edward was preceded in death by his wife, of 54 years, Beverly Jane Kurcz. Edward is survived by his immediate family of nine children, Debra Christiansen, Michael Kurcz, Teresa Christiansen, Walter Kurcz, Stephen Kurcz, Patricia Reed, Kenneth Kurcz, Anthony Kurcz and William Kurcz, along with their spouses and numerous grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Viewing will be 58 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, at Davis Funeral Home 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Funeral Mass will be at 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. Burial will be at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
