Remembering Eddie...
On July 17, 1968 in Las Vegas, Nevada, Edward Lamar Williams entered the world blessing parents Jessi Lee Williams and Mary A. Gunn (Willie Gunn), with his life. His educational chapter began at Helen J. Stewart Elementary School and continued at variety school for special education, where he was a member of the bowling team and participated in the annual Special Olympics; throughout his attending years all the way up to the day he obtained his diploma in 1986. Edward's beautifully eager soul wasted no time getting to his money, entering his work journey at Opportunity Village. Where he spent years helping and giving back to his community. There Edward was able to acquire many traits and skills; working in the recycle program, arts program, and many community programs. Edward's loving heart and soul made him a magnet at creating beautiful bonds with many, blessing them with the experience of his light, he loved getting together with his coworkers and friends at the community dances hanging with the ladies. After 20 years at Opportunity Village, Edward continued on with his passion of giving back and being active in his community at Summit Community Services Day program where he worked for 16 years. When not working, Eddie spent his free time doing things he loved, like; bowling, going to the community dances, listening to music, car rides, walks in the community, spending time with his close friend Ruby Jackson, and his favorite of them all spending time and making memories with his family, sipping beers and riding four wheelers. Edward's bright smile and soul shine bright enough to light the world of anyone who encountered him leaving a forever peace of glow in each heart.
Ready for yet another adventure, on December 27th, Edward went on to join his father Jessie Lee Williams, grandparents Napolean & Annabell Williams, Louise & A.T. Sanders, and his nephew Calvin Williams whom all proceeded him in death. To cherish and carry on his light, Edward leaves behind his mother Mary A. Gunn, stepfather Willie A Gunn, brother Jessie Lee Williams (Pamela Williams), sister Yolanda Brown (Tony Brown Sr.) his nephews, Antwone Gunn (Krystal Gunn), Jessie Lee Williams III, Darrius Williams, Edward Williams, Travon Williams, Tony Brown Jr., and his niece N'Donesia Williams (Merissa Williams), and a host of great nieces, great nephews and family.
