Eleanor was born in New York to Eleanor and Hershey Taylor on September 15, 1923. She was the middle sibling of the late Marion, Hiawatha, Hersey, Clarence, and Gillie Taylor. Eleanor had a hard life as a young girl caring for her family members, but she gave of herself altruistically and cheerfully. Eleanor married William Fisher and had two marvelous and brilliant sons Andre and the late Renell Fisher.
Eleanor was a beautiful woman inside and out. Eleanor had a heart of gold and was loved by all who knew her. She was intelligent, witty, wise, and high spirited. Her exuberant personality brought pleasure and enjoyment to anyone in her company. Eleanors diligent work ethic enabled her to enjoy the finer things in life and to help anyone in need. The purchase of a home, in the Bronx, when most believed homeownership was unforeseeable and unobtainable was one of her many accomplishments. That home was the foundation of many family gatherings and cherished memories.
After retirement Eleanor moved to Las Vegas, Nevada as the atmosphere was much more favorable for her health. She enjoyed her retirement years in Las Vegas as she continued to live life to its fullest. Many of her friends and family members from the northern states followed Eleanor to the west because she inspired others to experience the true essence of life, and because wherever she was the sun shined brighter. Eleanor was instrumental in making something special blossom in all those she touched. The genuine intimacy of her caring and love transferred a piece of her to unveil the best in others. Eleanor can never be forgotten or ever really die because she is engrained in the fabric of our souls, hearts, and present in all our aspirations. As long as those Eleanor touched pass on her legacy of genuine caring and unconditional love, she will forever live in the goodness of others.
Eleanor leaves to mourn in her homecoming to sit at the throne of our Lord and Father and his son Jesus Christ, her beloved son Andre, her nieces Marion, Lisa, Karen, Tia, and Gwendolyn, her nephews Hersey, Phillip and Irving, her sistersinlaw Monica, her constant companion, and Jeanette her beloved great, great niece Morgan and a host of other family members and friends.
Now faith, hope, and love abide, these three but the greatest of these is Love 1 Corinthians 13:13.
