Emil Schultz

Paul E. Schultz, passed away March 3, 2011, at the age of 88. He was a long time Las Vegas resident. Paul was born Feb. 6, 1923, in New York to Bert and Pauline Schultz. Paul was a Navy Navigator during World War II and the Korean Conflict. During his time in the U.S. Navy Paul became an air traffic controller and over his 38year career he worked at several airports including Burbank, Van Nuys, McCarran, North Las Vegas, and Fresno. Paul was an historian of aviation and World War II and spent his time researching war history he loved foreign travel, and visiting historical sites. He had numerous articles published in magazines and newspapers. Paul belonged to several organizations and clubs over the years including International PB4Y Liberator Association, Air Craft Owners and Pilots Association, Society of Airways Pioneers, Air Traffic Controllers Association, Naval Aviation Museum Foundation, 8th Air Force Historical Society, and The Air Force Museum Foundation and National Air and Space Museum. As well as the Las Vegas Model A Club. Paul is survived by his sons, Kerry and Kirby Schultz daughterinlaw, Lisa Schultz three grandchildren, Joshua Schultz, Jamie Dressler and husband, Ronnie, and Julia Schultz. He has five greatgrandchildren. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Schultz and his three sisters, Selma, Judy and Rosalyn and his grandson, Jason Paul Schultz. Private burial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 11, at Davis Cemetery, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Animal Foundation in his name.
