Epifanio de Felipe, Eppie as nicknamed by his coworkers, went peacefully to be with the Lord on July 12, 2011 at the age of 72 with his family by his side in Las Vegas, Nevada.
A memorial service to celebrate his life is scheduled at 2:00pm, Friday, July 22nd at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship: 5825 W. Eldora Avenue, Las Vegas, NV.
He was born January 6, 1939, in Roxas City, Philippines. His parents were Pablo and Maria de Felipe. He spent many years on the high seas travelling aboard cargo vessels as an international chef. Epifanio and his wife Rachel de Felipe owned and operated restaurants in Manila, Philippines. In 1987 they immigrated to the United States where they made Las Vegas their home for 24 years.
He and his wife Rachel recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary surrounded by their family and friends. They were both active members of the Damayan Christian Fellowship Church and attended both Cornerstone Christian Fellowship and Living Hope Christian Church with their family.
Epifanio worked in the casino industry for 24 years. Among his many interests, he was an avid boxing fan and never missed any with his favorite fighter, Manny Pacquiao. He loved spending time with family, singing, cooking and reading the teachings of the Bible. He devoted much of his time and energy as a provider to his family and loved to spend his weekends with his grandchildren.
Mr. de Felipe, is survived by his wife, Rachel de Felipe sisters, Editha Josefa de Felipe 2 sons, Ronnie Rennie 2 daughters, Evonie de Felipe Emelie Maybrook 15 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren.
