On December 29, 1979 a baby boy was born.
I named him Erik DeSean Smith, but to family and friends he was known as Sean.
Sean became ill with an infection that he fought so hard to beat, but on October 20, 2023 he lost his battle. He had one daughter Airyiena who he loved with all his heart and an uncle Edward that he loved unconditionally. He shared a bond and love with his mother Helen jean that no one could break. He was a child that never gave her one minute of grief and grew into a man that she was proud to call her son. He had a younger brother, Chad of Las Vegas, that he did and went every where with, also he had a "lil" sister Bria that he affectionately called "Baby-Baby". Sean was one of five boys. He leaves behind three older brothers; Abdul and Chris of Las Vegas, NV and Antonio "Red" Smith of Denton, TX; and an aunt Noel of Denton, TX; who he was looking forward to her cooking for him. He also had an honorary brother Francisco who he loved as if they were blood. He was a man that loved the kids big and small and was known to them as Uncle Sean.
He had many loved ones that preceded him in death; his grandmother Mae; two cousins, Al and Trice; two aunts, Silvia and LoreyAnn; and one uncle from Chicago, IL James (Jim) Jones, sadly three days after his passing his father Roy Reed died.
I've cried, prayed and felted as if I wouldn't survive without him, but I know all he would want is for me and Airyiena to be okay. He also leaves to mourn his passing a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that will cherish his memory forever.
