Ernie Anton

January 13, 1949 — September 16, 2017

Ernie Anton 68, of Las Vegas passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017.
Ernie was born to Elmo and Ruth Anton on January 13, 1949 in Carlton, Minnesota. He graduated from Carlton High School and joined the Air Force. Ernie served his country from 1967 to 1971 and was stationed in Thailand. In August of 1984 Ernie met the love of his life, Melody Kaye Warren and on September 29, 1984 one month after their first date the couple were wed, and on Friday the 29th the family will celebrate 33 years of marriage. Ernie was a devoted husband and loving father to his three children.
Ernie was a quite man but his presence would fill the room when he walked in. He would help anyone in need and loved to ride and work on motorcycles. Over the course of his life Ernie owned over 145 motorcycles. He was a Maintenance engineer for most of his life until he retired in 2015. Ernie was a member of the Patriot Guard and proud to serve with the men and women who defend and protect our freedom. He was a happy go lucky jack of all trades and a mans man. He enjoyed life and would be more comfortable in a t-shirt and jeans than any thing else. The stories that defined this man are to many to mention suffice it to say that he lived a full life and never worried about what any one else thought as long as he was happy he was good.
Ernie is survived by his loving wife Melody, of Las Vegas, his daughter Sammie and husband Trent Toltzman of Las Vegas; and sons, Richard and wife Teresa Anton of Montana, and Scott Anton. Ernie is also survived by his three grandchildren, Cezanne Warren, Christina Anton and Joshua Anton.
