Fledia Fay Micki Holland Sardelli passed away, surrounded by family, in her home, Sunday, July 8, in Las Vegas. Fledia was born in 1938 in the small town of Davidson, Okla. She was the amazing mother of three very lucky girls and the middle of three children. She is welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Fay and Thurman Squinch Holland her siblings, Joyce Yarborough and Dean Holland as well as her eldest daughter, Venetia Sardelli. A 47year Nevada resident, Fledia served on the early board of Opportunity Village and was one of the first Presidents of the Vanguards. She was instrumental in the writing and passage of legislation to better the lives of the mentally challenged in Southern Nevada. Her love of knowledge and learning lead her family to lovingly refer to her as Early Google. She lived a life full of integrity and love. She leaves behind her husband, of 47 years, Nelson Sardelli their two daughters, Giovanna and Pietra Sardelli and her only granddaughter, Indrani Sardelli. She will be dearly missed by all those fortunate enough to have known her. Memorial services will be 67 p.m., Tuesday, July 10, at Three Square Food Bank, 4220 N. Pecos Road, Las Vegas, NV 89115. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Three Square or Nathan Adelson Hospice.
