Gene Charles Adgers, 86, beloved uncle, husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away peacefully at home in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 20th, 2020. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 16, 1933 to William and Annie (nee Fitzpatrick) Adgers. Gene served his country during the Korean War in the United States Coast Guard as a radio operator rising up to the rank of second class seaman. After active duty, he went to work for the United States Postal Service to continue his government service.
Gene was twice married. To Carol Jeanne Howard in 1965 and Mary Alice Gibson in 1990. He graduated from Wayne State University in 1983 with a bachelor’s degree in General Studies. He retired from government service after 37 years in the postal service as a Regional Materiel Management Specialist in 1990.
He is survived by his son Anthony, his step-daughter Kim Gibson, his 6 grandchildren, JaNay Antoinette, Antonio Stephan, Adrian Stephan-Lynell, Timothy Kenard Williams, Simone Nichole, TreMayne Walter Price II (bubba), one great granddaughter, Mila Imani Lynn and many nieces and nephews.
