Information about Gerald Delk...
Gerald T. Delk moved to Las Vegas about 1972. Gerald was a construction worker and is primary trade was a painter. Gerald was involved, and put his hand on just about every casino in Las Vegas. He watched this town grow from a Desert to what it is today. A vibrant, flower metropolis I met Gerald around 1989. He would take us down to the strip and tell us stories about every casino. He worked very hard, but he enjoyed it and what it would mean to so many others to enjoy. Gerald had lots of friends, mostly in the construction business, and sadly most of them have passed on. Gerald lived with me for about 25 years. His last job was painting the Bellagio and he said there was so much sanding to be done that his hands would become raw. I use to wrap gauze on them so he could work. He considered the Bellagio the most beautiful casino here. Gerald was a union member and he use to give money to a lot of his friends so they could also join. He was the most giving unselfish person one could ever meet and I am proud I was with him all these years. He was always MY BEST FRIEND
