Gigi P. Batoon, 44 years old from Victoria, Oriental Mindoro Philippines, passed away on October 1, 2020 in Las Vegas Nevada USA.
She was a beloved daughter of Noime A. Parilla born on Decemeber 24, 1975.
Gigi grew up on the island Oriental Mindoro in a small town called Victoria in the Philippines. As a child she loved to go to the river with her siblings and spend their time swimming. She grew up mostly under the supervision of her grandparents due to her mother needing to leave for employment to be able to provide a better life for them. She graduated college with a bachelor of science degree in Physical Therapy. One of her many accomplishments was using her knowledge of physical therapy to get her grandmother to recover from a stroke. This granted her the ability to walk again and live long enough to see her great granddaughter. Gigi was a great mother to her daughters Argi Batoon and Aaliyah Montanio. She led a private life and only had a few true friends.
Gigi immigrated to the USA in 2013 to seek out a better life. She gave birth to her second daughter at the age of 40. Gigi loved to put things in an orderly fashion and looking for the best deals. One of her favorite ways to bond was to go shopping with her oldest daughter. Gigi Batoon loved to eat with her family. She fell in love with sushi, dim sum, and all you can eat seafood buffet. She cooked really good torta (Filipino version). She worked hard and made it her goal to reach the American dream. Gigi bought her house in the USA by herself.
Gigi Batoon is the very definition of independent woman and girl power. She was diagnosed with cervical cancer in April 2020, at the beginning of a global pandemic. She had her family with her in this fight. It was no doubt that the path paved for her was hard and painful for the cancer had spread. Fortunately, despite the hard and painful road, God had given her the chance to be with him as he promised.
Gigi P. Batoon is survived by Argi Batoon & Aaliyah Montanio, Evangeline Clanton, Triniti Clanton, Mahal Clanton, Noime Parilla.
