After a short illness, Gilbert Roy Hefner has gone home to be with Our Lord.
Beloved Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather. He has left us too soon.
Gil was a Las Vegas Native who graduated from Western High School. He then went on to Northern Arizona University, where he graduated with a degree in criminology.
He spent time as a LAPD officer and a parole officer in Orange County, CA.
He was also a member of the Shadow Hills Baptist Church, where he gave of his time to teach an adult Bible Class.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Marlena Shaw-Hefner; his sister and brother-in-law, Ellen/James Stuhmer.
He is also survived by four children, Douglas/Denise Bradshaw April Bradshaw, Marla Bradshaw-Foster and Adrian Little.
Gil also has seven granddaughters, Tiana Jackson, Tiffany Jackson, Tenielle Little, Deanna Berousek, Taylor Little, Olivia Simmers and Mallory Fabian.
And four great-grandsons and one great granddaughter, along with his nieces and nephew, John Stuhmer.
Susie Stuhmer and Heidi/Scott Patterson and a host of other family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
His parents Gilbert/Mary-Sue and son Michael Bradshaw preceded Gilbert in death.
