Glenn D Christensen, age 76, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away following a lengthy battle with cancer on June 28, 2022. Glenn was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on February 19, 1946 to Einer and Helen (Eich) Christensen. He graduated high school from Washington High School in 1964 and Dunwoody Industrial Institute (now Dunwoody College of Technology) in 1972 with a vocational certificate in Tool, Die and Mold Making. Between high school and technical school, Glenn served in the United States Naval Reserves beginning in 1965 to 1971 and activated to serve on the USS Granville S. Hall for part of that time. After his release from the Navy and subsequent graduation from Dunwoody, Glenn was hired by Optical Coating Laboratories, Inc. (OCLI) where he worked for 26 years. During that time he was eventually promoted to being a dedicated machinist for the Research Department. He also worked for Cierra Photonics, Inc., Kloehn Company, Inc. Kloehn Norgren, Inc. , and M.K. Fluidic Systems. Glenn retired in 2019 after 47 years in the industry.
Glenn also raised a family, having married De-Anna DeWitt in June 1970 and had two children, a daughter born in 1979 and a son born in 1987. He enjoyed airplanes and classic cars, and was a dedicated attendee of the Reno Air Races for nearly 30 consecutive years.
Glenn is preceded in death by both of his parents and survived by his daughter Lisa (Jason) , son Aaron (Kelly), sister Janice (Richard), and one grandson, Caleb.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the Oncology Department at the VA of Southern Nevada and Compassion Care Hospice.

Visiting and Service will be on Monday, July 18th, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Davis Funeral Home - Rainbow Chapel, 1401 S Rainbow Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146. Burial will be at noon on Monday, July 18th at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr, Boulder City, NV 89005.
