It is with great sadness that we announce that Glenn Otis Jones Sr., beloved son, brother, father, and family member, passed away on September 3rd, 2024. The cause of his passing has yet to be determined.
Glenn was born on July 29th, 1953 in Prescott, Arkansas, to Johnnie J. and Etta Rene Jones (Gentry). Glenn migrated with his family from his Arkansas hometown to Chicago, IL and then to Seattle, WA. Glenn graduated from Seattle’s Garfield High School and briefly attended the University of Washington-Seattle as an Art major. Glenn went on to drive for King County Metro and Seattle/Tacoma Yellow Cab.
Glenn used his profession to share his love of exploration and experiences with family, friends, and all those around him. Glenn had a deep love of creating art, and blessed and brightened this earth with his creation of sketch, acrylic, and sculpture mediums.
Glenn was preceded in his passing by his mother, father, and brother Kenny. Glenn is survived in dignity and glory by his son Glenn Jr., daughter Tushara, siblings Addie Marie, Gary, Harold, Johnnie, Loretta, Patricia, and a host of loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other beloved ones. Glenn’s departure leaves a void that will never be filled, but we take comfort in knowing that his soul is free, unburdened, and home.
A private gathering will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 11 am under the direction of Davis Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 1401 S Rainbow Blvd, Las Vegas, NV. We ask that those who wish to attend contact Glenn’s son or daughter prior to attendance. Glenn’s ashes will be spread at a yet to be determined date and place.
