Helen Elizabeth Nave was born March 4, 1923, in Danville, Illinois and has resided in Las Vegas since 1949, as a wife and homemaker. Sunday, June 20, 2010, with heavy hearts we bid farewell to our mother and grandmother. It was on the Sabbath, her favorite day of the week, that she went to meet the love of her life, Jesus Christ her Lord and savior. The top priority in her life was her faith followed closely by the love for her family. She was a charter member of the First Christian Church and currently a longtime member of Redrock Baptist Church. Her love for helping others was displayed through her service as a volunteer at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission for 25 years and was also honored as Volunteer of the Year. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, of 51 years, Russell Nave. She is survived by her brother, Frank Shirley Keech daughter, Judy Reynolds grandchildren, Bob and April daughter, Patti Walter Crews grandchildren, David and Chelsea son, James Nave daughter, Shirley Nave grandchildren, Joshua, Zachery and Eli daughter, Linda Paul Townsend and grandchildren, Charlie, Daniel, Aaron, Royce and Christian. She also has nine greatgrandchildren and two greatgreat grandchildren. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to her dedicated and compassionate physicians Kate Martin and Charles Bernick, as well as, her caregivers at Hinson Retirement and Care Center. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health would be appreciated.
