James Dillon

JAMES RANDALL DILLON, (Jim), of Las Vegas, Nevada, age 80, passed away with his family by his side on January 16, 2021. He was born in Roanoke, Virginia on October 11, 1940 to his parents, Juanatia Hazel Saul, and J.W. Dillon.  He married the love of his life, Susan Kay Dillon in 1988. They were married for over 30 years. He was preceded by her in death on January 8, 2018.  Jim is survived by the mother of his children, Victoria Dillon, his loving son, James Michael Dillon (Mike), his loving daughter, Krista Suzanne Barger (Dillon), and his two loving granddaughters, Kyra Shea Barger, and Madison Victoria Dillon.

Jim took part in the ROTC Program at Rancho High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, the school in which he graduated from in 1957. Jim then joined the Navy on December 2, 1957 and served until December 1, 1963. Jim held the position as Director of Computer Operations for the Las Vegas Jaycees during the early 1970’s.  Later, Jim served as a Reserve Patrolman for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department during the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. Jim later pursued a career as a Security/Surveillance Officer for the Casino Industry in Las Vegas, Nevada until his retirement in 2016.

Jim will be deeply missed but shall remain forever in the hearts of his family and friends. Services for Jim will be held on Monday, February 1, 2021, beginning at 1:00 p.m., and the graveside service will commence at 3:00 p.m. at Davis Funeral Home located at 6200 South Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada 89119.
