James Steven Farrell was born in Minneapolis Minnesota on January 21, 1964, and moved to Las Vegas with his mom Patricia and sister Diane when he was 4 years old. He considered himself a native Nevadan. He grew up in Las Vegas where he made lifelong friends Bobby Winteroff, Logan Triplett and Sue-Z Marino. He told me of the stories and many memories they made and shared. He started working at UNLV in various departments at the age of 17 and retired with 30 years of service. He made many long lasting friends with the people he worked with and was still in contact with many. He married his first wife Maria Farrell and had three children Tony Farrell, Erik Farrell, and Renee Farrell. He married Cynthia Beller-Farrell in 2004 and helped raise his two step-children Crystine and Chad for the past 16 years. He was a loyal husband, partner, and friend and loved his family. He was a proud member of AA and helped many people during his journey. He was an avid Braves and Vikings fan but would never watch the games as he felt he would jinx them. He also became a Denver Broncos fan as he was outnumbered by the Beller clan. Jim will be remembered for his odd send of humor (you either got him or you didn't) and his passion for Space and Politics. He is greatly missed and is still loved by all!
