Jean Cerrone

Jean Cerrone of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on August 15, 2018

She was born Gina Veronica Morandi on December 12,1930 in the Bronx borough of New York City. Her parents were Sperandio Carlo Morandi and Rina Zambetti Morandi originating from Bergamo, Italy. Jean is preceded in death by her beloved parents and sister, Ida Morandi Grieco.

Jean is survived by Angelo, her devoted husband of 66 years; her loving children, Carol (Michael), Peter (Dawn), and Charles (Alyson), along with 5 wonderful grandchildren, Kara, Meghan, Sean, Jennifer and Christina.

The family wishes to extend our sincere appreciation to our loving family and all the friends and caregivers who have assisted our parents and us along this journey. We particularly would like to thank the Oakmount Assisted Living Facility and Brighton Hospice Home Health Care.

Please join us as we remember and celebrate Jean and her life. If you would like to make a donation, in lieu of flowers, the family suggests the American Heart Association.

Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 23, at the Davis Funeral Home located at 1401 S. Rainbow Blvd., Las Vegas, Nevada 89102. A viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Father Dave of the Catholic Church. A reception will follow at the funeral home.

Burial at Veterans Cemetery in Boulder City on Friday, August 24…we will arrive around 10:15 a.m. Burial will be at 10:40 a.m. There will be no clergy officiating at the burial. Anyone wishing to read a prayer at the gravesite is welcome to do so.
