Words from the family...

Written by Ryann Hanson:
I wish I could go down to Las Vegas for her funeral. I miss her. I was going through old pictures and couldnt help but cry. Nana and I were so close. I remember all of the good memories. She was by far the best Grandma in the world. I remember every Friday, Nana would take me shopping at Costco. Then we would cuddle up on the couch and watch The Ghost Whisperer. I would be scared and cover my head with the blankets and she would have to tell me what happened. I remember going to Midevil times in California. I remember going to cousin Katies wedding. She was always so funny and happy. Her laugh was literally contagious. I really thought she would make it until I got there in December to hug her one more time. Shes the light to my dark, the peanut butter to my jelly, the pea to my pod. I miss her. I miss her smile. Even though it hurts right now, she is still here in my heart. I love her with all of my heart. Nana is a beautiful angel now. This isnt goodbye. Its just, Ill see you another time Nana. Party it up in heaven with Great Grandma. You girls are amazing.

Written by Theresa Hanson:
She was a Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Sister. She had a spirit that was contagious. Anybody who new her loved her. Her family came first, and she did whatever it took to keep a roof over our heads, and food on our plates. She loved people, and never tried to hurt anyone. She drag raced cars and trucks. She was good too. She had so many trophies. She loved speed. She worked at McDonald Douglas Aircraft in the 1970s in California. They noticed she was a great racer. They were talking to her about sponsoring her for Funny Car Racing. But we had to move to Las Vegas. If you ever asked her, How are you doing, She always replied, Oh I am good. She never wanted to worry people. She had a way of making people feel special. You couldnt get a negative thing out of her mouth about anybody. She had a saying when we were growing up. If you cant say something nice about somebody, then dont say anything at all. And she lived by it. Her family was her main love. We all loved her so much.
