Jennie Evelyn Nicholl, 102, of Las Vegas Nevada Died May 17th 2019

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, four sisters and five brothers.

Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Loving wife of Henry R. Nicholl (deceased) Mother of Richard (deceased), Raymond and Ronald. Mother-in-law of Barbara, Ruby and Peggy. Grandmother of Chris, Mike, David, Matthew, Jason, Julie, Joanna, Katrina, Amanda and Ray Jr. Great grandmother of twelve. Daughter of Anthony Fusco and Lenora Buonanno who immigrated to the United States from Naples, Italy.

Jennie Evelyn Nicholl was born April 6, 1917. She graduated from John Adams High School in Cleveland, Ohio. She grew up in Cleveland where she worked as a secretary at the Greyhound Bus Company and later in life for an Oncologist at The Cleveland Clinic.

Jennie was married almost 50 years to Henry R. Nicholl who died in January of 1991. She and Henry were members of our country’s Greatest Generation raising a family while surviving a depression and WWII.

Throughout her life she maintained a good sense of humor that included being frank and direct about her observations and beliefs.

She was a lifetime member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Jennie had selfless love from her faith in Jesus Christ. When we asked her what she has done to earn her eternal life she would say “Nothing!” Then how is it that you look forward to living eternal life? “Because I have believed God’s promise, and put my faith in His Son, and walked in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us. By grace I have been saved through faith. Not by anything I have done; it is a gift of God.”

The Nicholl Family extends our sincere thanks to family and friends that reached out to her with visits, phone calls, cards and gifts. Even though she got to a point in life that she could not respond to these acts of kindness she truly appreciated them.

No funeral service. Jennie’s body is being cremated and her ashes will be scattered by family.
