Jesus Barajas, 46, of San Mateo, passed away on September 12th, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Jesus was a fighter. He battled stage four gastric cancer for almost a year before cancer took him. His courage astounded many. He always gave a smile even though he pained and he never stopped worrying more about others than himself. Because of the devastating effects of cancer Jesus choose to be cremated. He wanted to be remembered as a vibrant man.
Jesus was born in Mexico City to Jesus Barajas Sr. and Celia Anzures on July 14th, 1971.
Jesus attended school in Mexico before coming to the United States to finish his education Stockton, CA. Jesus attended Delta College and graduated with an associates degree. Jesus was passionate about his career in the food and beverage industry. He managed several restaurants, including El Torito's, Chili's and Rainforest Cafe but bartending was his favorite occupation. He was lively, charming and funny which contributed to his faithful customer followers.
He had a strong faith in God and had shared an interest in pursuing ministry. He was good man, well mannered and sincere.
He married his wife, Krystal, at his 46th birthday celebration in Las Vegas…to which he exclaimed was the best day of his life.
Jesus loved house music, dance festivals, and was a socialite on the San Francisco nightlife scene. He had many friends, all whom loved him dearly.
Jesus is preceded in death by his father and is survived by his wife Krystal, his sisters Andrea, Barbara and brothers Mauricio and Ariel. He also survived by his half siblings, sisters Liliana, Adriana, Edna and brother Alberto, his mother Celia Anzures, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins that loved him dearly like a son & brother.
Memorial services will be publicly announced on Jesus's Facebook as they are yet to be finalized.
The family of Jesus Barajas wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all the doctors, nurses, hospital and hospice staff at St. Rose Dominican, Summerlin Hospital, Mills Peninsula, Nathan Adeleson as well as California Cancer Care and Hope Cancer Care of Nevada. We also extend sincere thanks to Vicky from Greater Las Vegas Church of Christ, Reverend Shawn Whittington and Reverend Roland August.
Special thanks to his friends that helped give Jesus the strength and for raising funds to help Jesus fight his battle with cancer as long as he could.
