John Anderson

John William Anderson, 76, of Las Vegas, passed away Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014. He was born March 16, 1937, in Quitman, Miss., to Will and Ella Mae Anderson. John moved to Las Vegas at an early age with his sister, Emma. He graduated from Las Vegas High School and served a tour of duty in the U.S. Air Force. John was a retired employee of the Clark County School District. Throughout his life, John positively touched the lives of many, always extending a helping hand to friends and loved ones. He is survived by his wife, of 45 years, Mildred Anderson two stepsons, Darrell Hayes and Russell Bell daughterinlaw, Donna PerkinsHayes three grandchildren Goddaughter, Beatrice Turner brother, Leroy Anderson and nephew, Jerry Cannon, both of California. Viewing will be 15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26. Funeral services at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, both at Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd.
