John Lemke

John Michael Lemke (Lone Wolf) sunrise November 28, 1973 to sunset October 24, 2018 at age 44.

John was born in Orange, CA, moved to Barstow, CA at a young age with his mother and attended Barstow Schools. He truly enjoyed the desert lifestyle. After graduating high school he enlisted in the US Navy which included a tour of duty in Adak, Alaska. He received a National Defense Service Medal and Navy & Marine Corps. Overseas Service Ribbon with an Honorable Discharge.

He then moved to Oklahoma City, OK and was employed at Tinker AFB as a civil servant for 23 years.

In 2009 he married his best friend, Novelette in El Reno, OK. They were together for 10 years. Together they have a son, Nathan. John adored his son and would take him to all his sporting activities. John was an avid Oakland Raiders fan. He loved the movie Christmas Story and was a walking dictionary of random facts who often told his step daughters random facts and bad dad jokes. He loved Mexican food and cooked great tacos and quesadillas. He was a very mellow and passionate gentlemen and family orientated, a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, nephew, uncle, grandson and friend.

John was preceded in death by his grandmother, Donna (Craton) Coate. He is survived by his grandfather William C. Coate; mother Linda (Coate) Lemke and step-father Frog Lemke; father Gene Michael Grosskopf and step-mother Dixie Grosskopf; his wife Novelette (Brown) Lemke and sons Robert and Nathan; step-daughters Nicole and Nataliah; granddaughters Michelle and Evangeline; brother Alan Wayne (Shanna) Lemke; step-sister Denetta Lemke; uncle Robert (Marlene) Coate, aunts Sandra Donohue, Cheryl (John) Emery, Donna (Stan) Pettengill; many nieces, nephews and cousins; brothers-in-law Dennis, George and Michael.

We will always carry your memory in our hearts. John's memorial will be a 1:00 pm at the Davis Funeral Home, 1401 S. Rainbow Blvd., Las Vegas, NV. After the service there will be gathering to memorize the Life of John.
