John Miklia

John Miklia, 97, of Las Vegas, passed away on November 13, 2021 in Las Vegas.  John was born in Detroit Michigan, to Gabriel and Anna Miklia.  John married his beautiful bride, Aspasia "Betsy" on November 17, 1957.  John and Betsy welcomed their children Mary, John and Jeanne.  John worked for 35 years as an insurance salesman for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company.  After retiring, John and his family moved to Las Vegas.  John opened the Mirage, working in the Arcade.  John and Betty enjoyed 55 years together before her passing on November 29, 2011.  John is also preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Cynthia Miklia and son, John Paris Miklia.    John is survived by his daughter, Jeanne Kathleen Ruffner; son-in-law, Dwayne "Skip" Ruffner; Granddaughters, Sonia Christina Agrebi and Nadia Angelina Agrebi.

Viewing and Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, 5300 South El Camino Road, Las Vegas, NV  89118.  Burial and Trisagion Service will follow at 11:30 at Dais Memorial Park, 6200 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
