John Prater

John Lindell Prater passed away May 26,2013 at home in his favorite recliner. He lived in Las Vegas, Nevada for 11 years and spent most of his life in Michigan. He was born in Essex, Missouri October 14, 1935. He fought a good fight for many years with many health complications due to diabetes. Mr Prater worked 39 12 years at Detroit Diesel Corporation in Redford, Michigan where in 1958 he started out as a job setter and retired as a superintendent. He was an enlisted U. S. Army Veteran who was in Korea during the war. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Mary Ann Golumbaski Children, Patrick, Douglas and Angela Alonzi James and one grandsonAnthony James Alonzi Siblings, Morris Prater, Jr Charlotte and Delores Dalton Doyle. Mr Prater was a self made man with a varity of talents to fix, make, repair, and build almost anything with an amazing ability. He has finally reunited with God in heaven with his mother Wilma Lankford and father Morris Prater, Sr.
