Joseph Fleming

August 1, 1956 — October 15, 2012

Joseph F. Fleming, 56 of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on October 15, 2012.
He is survived by his cherished bride of 36 years, 10 months and 15 days, Susan. He is also survived by sister in laws: Barbara Williams, Julie Garcia of Arizona and Sandra Wells of California. Favorite Uncle John Siedschlag Sr., Family and cousins who never got to meet this special individual. His Mother, Brother and Sister of New York. He leaves behind many nephews and nieces who thought the world of their uncle. Joe also leaves behind many business associates, dear friends and the Amateur Radio Clubs that he belonged to. A silent key: N6HSZ

Joe was born on August 1, 1956 in Pennsylvania. When he was still a small child his parents relocated to San Diego, California. He went to numerous schools in the area. In 1974 he graduated early from Poway High School to start his computer career at Hewlett Packard in Rancho Bernardo. In December of 1975 he married his cherished bride, Susan. His career continued to grow and his knowledge of programming was unstoppable. His new title: System Analyst. In 1980, Joe obtained his Amateur Radio License in Escondido. His call sign was N6HSZ and he joined the EARS Escondido Amateur Radio Society. He was involved in many Tee hunts, emergency drills for the valley and field days. He was also the editor for there monthly newsletters. At Hewlett Packard his work continued and in 1984 he was offered a position to establish the Northern Response Center in San Jose for the Northern Region. The Northern Response Center was set up. While in San Jose, Joe was instrumental in assisting Fire Fighters in Los Gatos when a forest fire broke out. He set up the command post along with many other amateur radio volunteers to keep the lines of communication open. They assisted the fire fighters, plane tankers and evacuees. No homes or loss of life was reported. Joe always talked about evacuating the Lupin Lodge A nudist colony with the firemen on a tractor. He laughed when he told the story... they only left wearing their tennis shoes.
Back to San Diego, Joe Susan and their partner, Rodney Schaefer created a streamline approach for apartment complexes to screen prospective tenants. Credit Interfaces, Inc. was born. All programming was created, developed and supported by Joe. 42 states later, Credit Interfaces, Inc. and its 3 founders achieved the highest accolade: The Mark of Excellence Award for service to this industry at a formal dinner in San Diego. The company was acquired and traveling was in their future. They moved from Escondido to Las Vegas.
In 2005, Joe was diagnosed with end stage renal failure. After spending 2 years in renal centers and not pleased with the care that was given he knew there had to be a better way to continue dialysis on his terms for his health. Joe contacted DaVita in Arizona. They had success with Home Hemo. Joe was instrumental in bringing Home Hemo to Las Vegas. He was the first patient to do dialysis at home with Susan, his caregiver. By running daily this was less traumatic on the body. It was very natural as your own kidneys. Joe was a visionary and a pioneer. He helped others in more ways than he could ever imagine. Over 30 patients are at home and out of centers...thanks to Joe. He was warm, sensitive, always smiled, and had a great sense of humor. He is the definitive Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer from grammar school. He is missed by all who knew him. His cherished bride will keep his memory alive. What a remarkable life
