Julio Martinez, 73, of Las Vegas, NV, passed away on April 25, 2011, after a long illness.
He was born to the late Aurcliana Martinez in Chaco, Argentina July 9, 1937. He met his wife, Isabel Martinez in 1987, they corresponded for two years and married in 1989 where they resided in beautiful Santa Barbara, CA for many years before relocating to Las Vegas, NV in 2003.
Julio was a professional tailor and discovered the love of sewing when he was eight years old. At the age of 13 years old he moved to the capital of Argentina where he began his career as a tailor working for the top designers at that time. He successfully built a business that created highend fashion for women, naming it Arigus. He later immigrated to the US where he continued his career as a tailor and worked for Nordstroms in Santa Barbara, CA for 17 years. His passions in life included spending time with family, drinking matte tea and singing Tangos. He was a man with a lot of integrity who was dedicated to his family and always dressed impeccably.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Isabel Martinez son, Mariano Martinez, of Argentina daughter, Ariel Martinez, of Argentina stepdaughter, Cruz Crispin, of Santa Barbara, CA stepsons, Vicente Hinojosa, of Las Vegas, NV and Brian Hinojosa, of Santa Barbara, CA six grandchildren: Bianca, Tania, EJ, Adrian, Jayden and Lorenzo sisters, Mariana Venitos and Aureliana Ortega, of Argentina brotherinlaw, Santiago Lerda six nieces and nephews: Mercedes Lerda, Alderto Lerda, Luis Ortega, Victor Ortega, Luis Ortega, and Ramon Ortega, all of Argentina.
