1991 - 2023
Kristoffer John Stubsjoen of Las Vegas, NV, beloved son, brother and uncle, unexpectedly passed away on July 28, 2023.
Kristoffer was born in Reno, NV on February 27, 1991. Growing up in Las Vegas, he attended Palo Verde High School, Class of 2009. During his teenage years, Kris enjoyed playing the trumpet and theater. As an adult, he possessed a passion for snowboarding, rock climbing, and most recently golf. In his professional career, he demonstrated skills in graphic design, hospitality and mechanics, where he most recently excelled as a Pool Technician. Kristoffer was highly respected for his work ethic and mechanical aptitude.
Kristoffer will be remembered fondly for his kind and accepting nature, as well as his wit and humor. He was always able to make people laugh, even when he was up to something he shouldn't have been. His good-natured sense of humor was often on display when in the classroom. He once gave an Anchorman-inspired answer to a Spanish teacher's question. "Does anyone know the meaning of San Diego?" Well, if you are familiar with Will Ferrall, then you know his response. LOL.
Kristoffer was always tinkering with things. One of his proudest moments was when he built his own computer tower, a skill he picked up from his father Karl. His ability to create was always on display whether it was writing jokes, or a computer program. His creativity also included photography. Another proud moment he shared was at his sister's high school graduation, where he took numerous photos with his new digital camera.
Kristoffer enjoyed visiting his family in Arizona celebrating holidays, summer parties and other special events. He loved karaoke, which he enjoyed many nights in the backyard with his dad, sister, nieces and nephew. Kristoffer adored them, and he would often give shoulder rides and play with them.
Kristoffer loved to debate! Topics could range anywhere from the earth is flat, to discussions of the government, taxes, freedom of speech and more. The debates were always in good spirit (wink). He was a consumer of information. He loved listening to podcasts and would listen to them anytime of the day and late into the night. Kristoffer was a wealth of knowledge. At one point in Kristoffer’s life, the information he had consumed led him to stop consuming meat. Kristoffer became a vegan for a short period of time. Kristoffer was a man of strong convictions and beliefs and would not be detoured and over Thanksgiving the challenge was on Kim, Kristoffer’s stepmom who prepared Kristoffer his vegan “It’s not turkey” meal.
