Linwood (TC from DC) Logan Jr, born February 4, 1943, to Linwood Sr. and Anna Frances Logan. Linwood was raised in Richmond VA. He attended and graduated from Armstrong High School, Richmond, VA Class of 1961. As a youngster, Linwood was always trying to make money. He sold Black published Jet, Ebony Magazines, Richmond City AFRO newspapers, and spent time in pool halls. Linwood was always the jokester making people laugh and constantly on the go spending time with his cousins. Linwood graduated from high school early and joined the United States Air Force.
Linwood spent 7 years, 9 months, and 2 days in the United States Air Force. His tours included Lackland AFB, TX, 65th Air Base Wing Lajes Field, Azores Portugal, Da Nang Air Base, Vietnam, McCord AFB, Tacoma WA, and Andrews AFB, MD. He was discharged honorably in November 1968 with the rank of Sergeant.
After his military service, he accepted recruitment with Washington DC Police Department. Linwood spent 20 years serving the citizens of Washington DC. Linwood was an avid bowler and golfer. Linwood was known by family and friends to have a very kind heart and giving person who would give you his last dime and the shirt off of his back.
Linwood is preceded in death by his parents Linwood Sr. and Anna Frances Logan. He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife Delores Logan, daughters Loretta Logan from Bowie, MD, and Luvenia (Maynard) Crite from Upper Marlboro, MD; stepchildren Rachelan Hodges, Regina Brandon, Charles Rogers (Natasha), and Dwayne Rogers from Las Vegas, NV; siblings Hattie Smith, Ella Mae Anderson from Richmond, VA, James (Patricia) Logan from Las Vegas NV and Johnny Logan who resides in Richmond VA. Linwood also leaves behind 3 grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, 1step great-grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
