Maria Barrera

Maria, was born on September 1940 in Mexico. Her parents were Esteban and Dolores Carmona. Maria studied the piano for 12 years and played nice classical music. She
had a beautiful voice and enjoying singing. Her favorite music was classical music. She loved to read and write poems. She studied at Normal Para Maestros were she obtained a Master Degree in Education. She taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grade for 18 years in Mexico. She married her childhood friend Jaime Barrera and were married for 46 years. However, they knew each other when they were young so a total of 58 years together They had a daughter which she named Maria de Lourdes.
In the early 1970s they moved to the United States and lived in Stamford, CT. She continue teaching for 20 years in Connecticut. In 1998 they moved to Las Vegas, NV were she retired.
She was a loving, sweet, kind, giving, and honest woman of GOD. She was
very genuine and always spoke her mind. She made everyone smile and laugh when they were around her. She was full of knowledge, and wisdom and always giving advice and a helping hand. She brought many people to the Lord. She enjoyed going to church on Sundays. She prayed, worship, read her Bible and sang to the Lord on a daily basis. Her love for the Lord was Amazing
She died in such a peaceful way. Looking up to heaven and a beautiful smile
on her face. She looked very peaceful and happy. She is survived by her loving husband, daughter, grandson and soninlaw. She also leaves behind her brother and 2 sisters. Also, her 3 nieces Mirza, Yvonne, and Alicia whom she loved as if they were her daughters. She will be greatly missed and always Loved But her family knows that
she is rejoicing and happy with the Lord
