Marvin Charles Knight was born June 13, 1950 and went to our Lord on October 8th, 2016, He was one of seven children to
Pastor Clifton and Miriam Knight in Cameron Texas, He attended OJ Thomas School, excelling in his studies and in sports
where he ran track and played football. At an early age Marvin found Christ and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Marvin joined the USAF in 1968 and traveled to Thailand during the Vietnam era. After an honorable discharge,.
Marvin moved to California and attended Compton Community Collage and California State University, Dominguez Hills
graduating in 1980 and 1982. He loved to sing and was a member of Dominquez Hill's Chorus.
Marvin married Harriett on October 24, 1987 and they spent twenty nine years together and were Soulmates.
Marvin spent many years working as a Social Worker where he helped people cope with challenges they faced during illness and
rehabilitation. He worked for Alcott Rehab Hospital, Los Angeles and the Brotman Medical Center in Culver City California.
After relocating to Las Vegas NV in 2006 he worked with the Las Vegas Rehab Hospital in Las Vegas and Henderson until becoming disabled in 2009.
He is preceded in death by his father Pastor Clifton Knight Sr., mother Mrs. Miriam Knight, brother Herbert, sister Caroline, and daughter Anissa Rae Brown. He leaves to mourn; his wife Harriett and her mother Helen Abram, son Giovanni Young, Austin Texas,
son Marvin Knight Jr, Compton CA, his brothers Bishop Dr. Clifton Knight II (Vivian), Isiah Knight and Jessie Knight, Sisters: Patricia Hayes
and Betty Knight. He also leaves him many cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Marvin lived a Glorious life and will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
