Matthew passed away peacefully March 8th, 2024. Born September 28th, 1973 at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines to William (Bill) and Linda. The family moved to Las Vegas in 1977 where he spent his childhood and attended both Clark and Bonanza High School. Matthew was a people person and loved everyone he met and became friends with many. His smile was contagious, always laughing and joking, he could turn anyone's bad day around.
From the time Matthew was a little boy, he wanted to be a garbage man collector. Even though he did not fulfill his dream of becoming a garbage man, his lifelong hobby and passion was collecting his favorite baseball cards, coins, and comics. He loved to read and learn new things, he knew a little bit of everything and a lot of all. Matthew was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, cheering them on together with his dad. Matthew also loved to spend his time helping out friends and family with any and everything he could. He was so selfless he would give you the shirt off his back, no questions asked.
The most important thing that drove him in life was his beautiful daughter Jaden, his Boogie. He loved her more than anything, she was his life. Not a day would go by that he didn't talk about how much he loved her.
Matthew leaves behind his mother and father, brother Michael, nephew Christopher and his daughter Jaden. He also leaves behind many family members and close friends who have shared many memories with him throughout his lifetime. Matthew will also be missed by his fur baby Jezzy, she was his little buddy, always by his side.
We will remember Matthew for his beautiful spirit, his passions, and his ability to love and inspire others, he will remain in our hearts as we remember his beautiful soul. Thank you Matt for being in our lives and allowing us to love you, you will be greatly missed.
