Mervin U. Hake, 74, of Pahrump passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 08, 2011. He was born on December 05, 1936 in Hartville, Missouri. He proudly served in the US Air Force for 24 years and retired from Nellis AFB. He was also a retired letter carrier from the US Postal Service with 20 years of service. Merv loved the outdoors to include bird watching, camping, fishing, and hunting. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved cutting up and joking with his family and friends. He had a kind, loving, giving heart. Merv was a wonderful husband, father, and grandpa. He was full of life and laughter and will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Merv is preceded in death by his parents Earl May, his brother Gaylon, and his sister Charlotte Williams. He is survived by his beloved wife Karen whom he shared a deep loving marriage with for 27 years. He is also survived by his son Alan Hake and his wife Shelia, his daughter Martine Hake, stepdaughters Cecilia Pelletier her husband Jason, Laura Worrall her husband Curtis, Darla Mathews, stepsons Joe Furtado and Marty Furtado, and his grandchildren, Trevor, Kelsi, Sheila, Nicholas, Andrew, Katie, Kyle, Sydney, Natalie, Melanie, Michael, Dori, 2 greatgranddaughters. Visitation will be 48 PM on Wed. Aug. 10. Funeral services will be at 12:30 PM, Thurs. Aug 11, both at Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston with the burial following at Bunker Cemetery 7251 W. Lone Mtn. Rd.
