Paul Clemente, 92, of Las Vegas, passed away June 6, 2014. He was born Feb. 18, 1922, in Providence, R.I., to his parents, Gennaro and Madeline Clemente., and was a 31year resident of Nevada. Paul served as a demolition specialist in the U.S. Army from 19421945 and fought in the battle of New Guinea and liberation of the Philippines. IN 1946, he married Rose Andreoli. IN 1957, they moved with their two daughters to Azusa, Calif. Paul worked for Webers Bakery Company in Glendale, Calif. In 1983, after retirement, they made their favorite vacation spot, Las Vegas, their home. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, of 57 years, Rose soninlaw, Mike York and grandson, Michael York. Paul is survived by his daughters, Beverly Jim Howe and Paula Les Petersen grandchildren, Amy Russell Baker, Brandi York, Paul Ying Howe, Kelly Tom Bertsch and Tim Howe and seven greatgrandchildren. Viewing will be 610 p.m. Monday, June 9, with services beginning at 7 p.m., both at Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, at Davis Memorial Park, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association .
