Paul Salazar

Paul Phillip Salazar Shadow Wolf, passed away on September 12, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born on July 11, 1971 in San Bernardino, California. He is survived by his daughters Michaela, Tiana, Gabriel. Paul is also survived by his Mother, father, 2 brothers, and sister. He was preceded in Death by his wife Kimberly Ann Salazar Mouse and brother: Matthew James Salazar.
Biographical Information:

Matthew 18:2, 3
Being the first grandson of both grandmothers, Paul soon learnt how to get around them and was deeply loved and prayed for by them. Paul turned toward his Native American roots and beliefs because of these two women and took on the nickname of Shadow Wolf but was called Shadow by his friends.

Early his showed a natural talent for understanding computers, making him the first in his family to succeed at these complicated and interrogate tasks. His grandmother was often heard saying she had no clue what it was he was doing or how but would encourage him to do so as often as she could.

Paul as a teenager worked to help children of abused homes. He not only got baptized once but most any time it was offered and often told those around him that someday he would be a preacher. He even was Christ on a float for his church once.

A young man often misunderstood for being himself, Shadow Wolf went into theatrical makeup along with his love of the holiday, Halloween. He would set up a graveyard in his grandparents front yard with all the ghouls, goblins and skeletons and then dressing like the walking dead pass out candy to those brave souls brave enough to venture into his graveyard, scaring all he could and having the time of his life doing so.

He grew to be fascinated with skulls, swords, knives and dragons to mention some. Leading to going to the Renaissance Fair where he would meet, fall in love and worship his life long soulmate Kimberly Mouse. Due to this uniting Shadow vowed and kept his vow to stop drugs and drinking. Mouse knew at this point the depths of their union.

Both, having rough youths, started a young family of three lovely girls of their own. Because of circumstances the girls would all too quickly be taken away from their parents. Shadow and Mouse would often speak of these girls, their love for them and their prayers for them and how Shadow was scared when holding one so tiny and how Mouse had nurse all three of them.
Moving to Nevada and trying to make a new start, Shadow and Mouse would all too soon again be hit with tragedy. Mouse would be diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Finding a life line and supportive friends in Wolf and Ernie Anton they all would stand by and support with love Mouse and Shadow. Mouse wouldnt lose her smile and Shadow would hold on to the hope of her survival no matter what the stats where. During this time Shadow found a family he could love and be loved back, he was able to have the family he so wanted. No one can say this was only makebelieve as they were and are very real and very human.

On 2311 Shadows Mouse would be called home due to esophageal cancer breaking his heart. He would do all he could to keep his promise to his Mouse and tried desperately to continue on. But without the other half of him, he found he was losing that battle. He turned his energy into the trike they were going to ride and though it wasnt finished, his eyes sparkled of that ride. His heart finally had to follow the only woman that could or would understand him and become his soulmate for life.

Shadow will now never have to be afraid of any Scarecrows as he is with his love. He will never be forgotten by his Aunt Cooki or by her girls. He will always live in their hearts.

An eagle can fly to the stars its powerful wings pushing it always higher and faster then dreams can fly. You are an eagle Shadow, always going farther and faster than you dreams could follow. You always had the ability to raise others with you, to let them fly with the freedom. You will always belong to those lost souls. It was time for you, the Lord has a higher purpose for you, and you will be remembered fondly, passionately. Although we always want to hold you close, you were taken from us much too soon. I know the Lord asked you, and you wanted so much to be with Mouse, your love overcame your fear, and now, although we grieve, you are with her. We will miss you I will miss you, friend and son. For two years you have called me Dad and it has been an honor to know you as such. And although we cry for you, and will miss you, you are with your beloved Mouse, walking in the green pastures of heaven, and smiling upon us. You have given a new hawk wings, and a life for all to follow. Fair winds and following seas my son and we will be together again when the Lord knows the time is right. We love you Paul, and although a great part of our life has been taken, know that you will always be in our hearts and thoughts, and we will always love you.
