Ramon "Mony"

Ramon "Mony" Escalera, was born on June 22, 1993, and passed away on January 19, 2024. A kind, loving, helpful, and funny individual, Ramon preferred to be recognized by his nickname which his sister, Heather gave him as a child. He was an exceptional character who left a positive impact on everyone he came into contact with. His legacy of unwavering kindness and positive energy will forever echo in the hearts of those who not only knew him but all who met him.

Ramon loved nothing more than spending time with his family and loved ones and playing basketball during his free time. He had a particular fondness and was the face of Houston's Hot Texas Chicken, where his work was highly admired and regarded as one of his greatest accomplishments. His fond memories included family vacations and making memories with those he loved. All eyes fell upon him in every room he entered with his infectious smile and unforgettable energy. 

Ever inspirational, Ramon believed that anything is possible and taught those around him to never give up, a lesson that will continue to empower and motivate his loved ones. His memory will be preserved in the kindness he spread and the laughter he inspired.

Ramon is survived by his mother, Tracey Hardy,  step-father Elkus Hardy, sister, Heather Davis, niece Alice-Auna Davis, great-grandmother Jane LaSala, Godmother Jennifer Taylor and so many more, who fondly remember his unwavering commitment to spreading joy,  positivity and love. A memorial service in honor of 'Mony's' life will be held at Davis Funeral Homes at 1401 S Rainbow Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146 January 31, 2024, at 12 noon with reception immediately to follow. The loss of Ramon is deeply felt, and he will forever be missed by the many lives he touched. May he rest in Paradise.
